Shop Western Canadian and Save: Bailey Paper-Faced Trims

When you’re choosing materials for your next drywall project, where a product is made can matter as much as how it performs. Consolidated Gypsum / Roofing Supply is proud to carry Bailey Metal Products Platinum® paper-faced beads and trims, made in Alberta.

Choosing a Western Canadian product supports regional manufacturing and can help contractors manage exposure to tariffs on imported finished goods. Because Platinum is made in Alberta and sold within Canada, the finished product is not imported across an international border. That means it is not subject to import tariffs on the finished good when purchased domestically.

A reliable finish for drywall corners and edges

Platinum paper-faced beads and trims pair paper laminated to zinc-coated steel. The steel provides strength and corner protection, while the paper surface is designed to bond with joint compound and reinforce the finished corner. Bailey’s product literature notes that the paper face is resistant to scuffing and damage from sanding and drywall knives, and that the trims are available in a range of profiles for different wallboard applications.

The Platinum line includes options for outside and inside corners, bullnose corners, L-trims, J-trims and reveals. Many tape-on profiles are embedded with joint compound, helping create a clean finished edge without relying on fasteners that can pop through the surface. Always check the product details and installation instructions to choose the right profile for your application.

Keep more of your sourcing close to home

Tariff-free, Alberta-made products are one way to reduce reliance on imported finished goods. While product pricing can still be affected by steel, paper, freight and other market costs, choosing a locally manufactured option helps avoid import tariffs on the finished trim and keeps your purchase closer to home.

At Consolidated Gypsum / Roofing Supply, we’re proud to offer Bailey Platinum products alongside other Western Canadian products that help support our regional construction industry. Ask your local branch about current selection and availability.
