Our Saskatoon branch is searching for an ambitious, customer focused individual to assume the role of Warehouse Supervisor/ Dispatcher.

Detailed Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for administering operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Role specific accountabilities include properly training and developing warehouse/ yard staff, conducting weekly staff meetings, maintenance and repairs of all warehouse and yard facilities, ensuring the highest level of customer service, daily operating efficiency responsibilities including wage expenses, inventory damages and order “fill” accuracy as well as checking incoming vendor shipments for accuracy and condition. Ensuring efficient flow of goods and manpower to and from job site deliveries, prepare high volumes of paper work, maintaining records of equipment and personnel status reports as well as additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Branch Manager.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, ability to keep calm in high stress environments, communicate clearly and effectively with all areas of the company and have the ability to handle extreme volumes of paper work. Must have a minimum three years experience in a warehouse or dispatch role preferably in the building supply industry. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, working knowledge of MS Office and ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency is essential.
