We sell a wide range of products from outside finishing products such as stucco and shingles to interior finishing products such as drywall, insulation and textures.
Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the overall direction of the Sales Department within the Edmonton Region. Role specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct the sales team in Edmonton.
- Coach staff levels on the sales desk and outside sales representation.
- Maintain and increase sales volumes of assigned accounts.
- Solicit orders from present and prospective customers.
- Aggressively seek new customers.
- Carry out merchandising programs as directed.
- Accumulate pricing, discounts and terms offered by competitors in our field.
- Assist in development of sales forecasts.
- Recommend the addition of new products and the modification or deletion of present products.
- Attend, plan and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows
- Implementing selling prices and providing sales objectives
- Approve travel and selling expenses
- Review related monthly reports.
- Additional duties may be assigned by the Branch Manager and Director of Sales
Skills / Qualifications:
To ensure you are successful in this role, the ideal applicant must have a minimum of five years sales management experience, proven track record in the building supply industry and sales experience in the roofing industry. Strong working knowledge of MSOffice, outstanding communication and leadership skills will be considered an asset. Individuals must show and demonstrate ability to prioritize.
