Consolidated Gypsum Ltd. is an Alberta based company serving builders and contractors across the province for over 34 years. Headquartered in Edmonton, Consolidated has eight branch locations located in Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary, Canmore, and Saskatoon.
We are searching for a highly motivated, talented and experienced merchandiser who is looking to take on a prominent client operating in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Specific Duties:
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Showroom Merchandiser is responsible for traveling to all 8 branch locations throughout the year to perform the following tasks: Specific Duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the organization and merchandizing of all goods and displays in showrooms throughout our eights (8) locations
- Ensure that stocking levels of sales products and literature are maintained at acceptable levels in the showrooms
- Maintaining showrooms in an orderly and clean state
- Assist the Showroom Coordinator clear out or damaged goods shall be positioned for customer scrutiny
- Follow and enforce all policies and procedures as they pertain to our company’s showrooms
- Clearly communicate with all sales personnel in the branch (including arrangements, new displays, promotions, etc.)
- Additional duties may be assigned by the Branch Manager and/or Sales Manager in times of special events, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years experience in a merchandising role is essential. Preference will be given to those with building supply experience
- Capable of working with limited or no supervision
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Extensive travel will be expected for this role, specifically overnight.
